Home Suite Hope's popular annual fundraiser, Empty Bowls, is almost here. Don't miss out. There's still time to purchase tickets.
Empty Bowls 2024, presented by Taylor, is Sunday, October 20th at Appleby College.
This is the 16th annual edition of Home Suite Hope's signature fundraiser and, as always, it directly supports programming for single parents.
HSH serves single parents who are facing homelessness. Through support, a post-secondary diploma and employment support, it helps single parents move from poverty to stability across an up to four-year program.
HSH partners with Halton Region, Sheridan College and community partners to provide stable housing, post-secondary education and wraparound support to our single parent participants.
Empty Bowls is a fundraiser organized by HSH that brings the community together to visit various
soup sponsors - tangibly representing the soup kitchen experience and the type of poverty many
homeless families face prior to entering HSH programming.
For the community, besides being an opportunity to help make change in the community, Empty Bowls is a popular, fun and filling event!
A ticket to Empty Bowls provides you with the opportunity to try a variety of delicious soups, along with bread, and desserts - all donated by local restaurants and businesses and all proceeds funding HSH’s wraparound supports for its participant single parents and their families.
Your ticket includes: Soups prepared by local chefs, bread desserts and, with an upgraded ticket,
a ceramic bowl. This year’s event will offer two seatings: Seating 1: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.; Seating 2: 1:15 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.
If you are unable to attend, but still want to support us you can purchase a ticket for a Home Suite Hope family to attend the event.

Soups will be provided by nearly a dozen local restaurateurs including: Hearthstone by the Lake; Montfort Mediterranean Cuisine Oakville; Oakville Golf Club; Sodexo; Stoney's Bread Company; Connection Cafe; Chef Tim from O'Conor Catering; Pane Fresco by Fortinos Lakeshore Oakville and Sotto Sotto Oakville.
