HSH AGM & Graduation is June 15

Home Suite Hope will be hosting its Annual General Meeting and 2023 Graduation Thursday, June 15. This year’s event is extra special as HSH will be a special celebration of the Graduates of 2020 - 2023!

The in-person event will be held from 4:45 p.m.-7:45 p.m. at the Sheridan Conference Centre at Sheridan College, Trafalgar Campus located at 1400 Trafalgar Rd., Oakville.

HSH Board members and staff will be joined by supporters, donors, local officials and dignitaries, as well as the families of the graduates, in celebrating all that our program participants have accomplished.

HSH participants are single parents, who are facing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness upon entering our Homeward Bound Halton program. While HSH offers a variety of programs, its primary program is Homeward Bound Halton. In it, single parents and their families are stabilized through housing and wrap-around support in their first year (Stabilizing First Halton) before entering a two-year diploma program at Sheridan College.

Participants receive continuing support throughout their college studies and, in addition to mentoring and networking, are supported through their employment search. Upon obtaining employment, the participant is then able to transition away from HSH and support themselves and their families independently. They can continue in an aftercare model as they make the transition and are encouraged to stay involved as program ambassadors and alumni.
